Soil and Climate Types

Slate is the classic Riesling soil, although the grape also grows well in sandy loams. The grape excels in well-drained soils with poor fertility.

    what is the ideal climate range of planting riesling?
    and 2 examples of places regarding to the climate.

    Dear Chun Hui Chen,

    This is a big question in only very few words. I am not sure I could pretend to know the perfect algorythm especially because so many Riesling styles can be made and really each climate has its advantage for one of them. Is there a style you were more curious about?
