Brian McKee, Cellar Master

Family and wine are two things that I am very passionate about. I started helping out at wineries in the lower valley at 14 after my family moved here from Idaho to start a small winery. This became a reality in 1990 when my parents opened Tefft Cellars in Outlook. My older brother Ray and I have both been involved with wine for many years. He is now the winemaker for Heaven's Cave Cellars, and I was the general manager at Tefft for seven years. When the opportunity to work for a larger winery came up I jumped at it. However my real draw to Pacific Rim was the small winery, family feel that the company maintains. I love the fact that all the people involved with Pacific Rim are so passionate about what they are doing, and it doesn't hurt that I have always been a fan of Riesling. With so much of my family involved in the wine business I often wonder if my children will share my passion for wine and someday be involved in the industry.
